Innusberg

Innusberg is the central region of Toil. Land locked to all sides and ruled by Toor Rouymai and the Council of Wizardry Innusberg maintains power through its control of the Five Roads of Toil, through which every trade good must pass by decree of the Gods.

Rather than relying on a vast standing army each segment of the road, known as a Ward, is run by a locally elected representative who raise forces in a variety of ways, some relying wholly on intervention from the Gods themselves.

Bordered to the North by The Durek Flights a snow swept mountainous region inhabited largely by Dwarves and Giants. To the South by Ventici an arid land full of merchants with a jagged coastline. To the East by the warring regions of Hopelander and Darkslick which vary in climate from tropical to frosty and are the domain of savage hordes. To the West by Phironia connected by a thin causeway; few have traveled there to know even the basics as all goods are left at the cause way at dusk to vanish through the night.

The primary currency of Innusberg is the Gold piece with gems being used instead of platinum, which is too rare outside of The Durek Flights to be spared for even rich currency.

The Council of Wizardry is located in Innusberg City [metropolis] but there is no other population center of any great note [Large Village >].

The System

Hey Guys

So I figure I'll GM the first run so I can iron out the tech side of things. There is going to be a dice roller plugin which we will use for the game and a twitter plugin that shows the last 30 tweets from a list I'm going to make. Done - @dm_nmngg/nmngg . Works out better if everyone hashtags #nmngg somewhere in theyre message.

Everyone will need to make a twitter account. Mine is saltpy. You can comment on things using Open ID, eg your Facebook or Google etc, or you can make an email etc, be consistent please.

Character sheets will be hosted on Google Docs. Text message me the email you want invited to the Google Docs and I'll make a sheet that only you and I can see for your character.

The blog will be used to post room descriptions etc and long out of rounds stuff. Once I say roll initiative we will switch to twitter. You will be able to do only what you can describe in 140 characters. Dice will be rolled in the roller once its on the site with a link back to the tweet its from or a descriptive link if its arisen from the blog. Can't really do persistence without a database and can't do one of those on blogspot so if we use it I'll get cheap hosting etc until then we will go on trust, feel free to use the roller tho.


Characters

We're going to go all open source and use only things available in the Dungeons and Dragons SRD initially so people can look things up without needing the books handy.

Characters start at level 1. 4d6 drop lowest six times minimum modifier is +3 for a set to be legal. Usual 1 set reroll allowed. Standard starting wealth.

Plot

Your going to be in the standard setting in terms of Gods etc. Your located in a region called Innusberg. I'll make a post about Innusberg. Done. If you want to be from somewhere else reply to this describing it and I'll edit it if required and post it as another region. I'll send you a twitter message with a link in to the plot. Your characters will not know each other.

Action Points

1. Follow saltpy on twitter and message me your real name. The twitter could be yours or an in character twitter up to you.
2. Text me the email address you want to access the google docs with.
3. Read Innusberg.
4. Make your character in the google docs and let me know your ready.
